Sugary Couple

June 26, 2007

Fate, can happen anywhere in the world, bringing two perfect strangers from different continents together and then tying the knot. He’s from US and she’s from Russia, met in Dubai and then have their sacred wedding performed in Singapore over the last weekend.

I was assisting Rueyloon with this pre-wedding outdoor shoot and that’s how i got to know this sugary couple. Not that they are extremely sweet in front of us, but rather the bride has a very interesting and unique hobby, that is to collect sugar sachets from all over the world. :)

Now, lets meet this newly wed couple, Waleed and Anastasiya.

Wedding of Cheryl and Chin Siong

June 12, 2007

It was a split day wedding, though the hours were long, the event was relaxed. The joyous mood somehow also took the fatigue away.

The actual wedding which is on last Saturday and the wedding banquet is held yesterday evening at the Asian Civilisation Museum (ACM). Very nice venue, and in fact it was my first time shooting over there. The couple requested some portraiture shoots and I had 45 mins to play with. So here is one photo of the lovely bride, Cheryl.

Decided to put up the coloured version of the above sepia one. And one photo of Cheryl and Chin Siong.

Jose Villa Wedding Workshop

June 5, 2007

Today marks the end of the three days workshop by Jose Villa, who flew in from US on a 18 hours flight. The workshop is really great, with tonnes of information on the wedding business aspects of his and the US wedding photographers. And the coolest of all during the course, is on the first day that I get to take some bridal shots for a great looking couple at Changi Boardwalk.

Thanks Jose Villa, Linda and WPN!

I’m so excited by the photos that I actually compiled some of the photos into a slideshow! And the slideshow can be seen here

Q1 2007 WPJA Contest

June 1, 2007

Today is the closing date for Q1 2007 WPJA Contest, and I had only less than an hour to submit the photos for the competition. Luckily, I made it, another 20mins left.

I chosen 3 photos out of 2 weddings that I shot this month. Somewhat too rush to scan through the entire wedding series, so what I did was to think back to the time I was shooting these 2 weddings and which were the moments that I captured that could make some strong images. Actually, I reckon there are more than 3 good images, but each photo submission for the contest is US$10.

I guess 3 photos are good for me for this time round. emoticon
