Pregnancy Series: QingQing

August 23, 2006

My friend called me up one day to ask me if i’m interested in shooting her in her pregnant state. Instantly, images of Demi Moore’s pregnancy pics floated in my mind. Hahaa… I was pretty excited and i told her i don’t mind trying out. We had fun discussing what to do and what not to do. However, Demi Moore’s style is out. Apparently, most asian girls are not liberated enough to try out yet. This could be one of the reasons. The other i could think of, is the objection from her hubby. Who on earth would allow his wife to post sensually in front of a male friend/photographer. Well, i didn’t press her for the exact reason. On the other hand, she’s game to try certain ideas for the artistic effect (As if i can do it. Hahaa…).

Just like to share some of the pictures that i have processed so far. I’m still in the midst of processing, which will probably take me another couple of days. Hope i can deliver the photos to her soon, because she is due for delivery very very soon.

HDR

August 17, 2006

So what does HDR means?

Extracted from Wikipedia :- High Dynamic Range imaging (HDRI) is a set of techniques that allow a far greater dynamic range of exposures than normal digital imaging techniques. The intention of HDRI is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to the deepest shadows.

Amanda, the Brazilian Gal

Friend of Renee, she was introduced to me about two months ago. We had a shoot planned sometime ago, but she backed up the very last minute that time. We made it up and had a wonderful photoshoot last weekend.

I thought i had packed everything inside my camera bag, my camera, my lenses and my reflector. I settled down alone at Ya Kun having my regular set of breakfast before heading down to meet the girls over at foot of Fort Canning Park. Things went pretty okay, the girls went to change while i took out my camera and switch it on.

Then i realised the CF card wasn’t inside my camera!

*Panic* I break the news to the girls who had came back from changing their clothes at the nearby toilet. You should see me how panicky i was, searching every pockets on myself and in my bag. I tried recalling where i had placed my CF card. Then i started to think who i can sms for help. LOL! In the end, Amanda suggested that they can wait for me in the park while i go back home to retrieve my memory card. And so i left them and to come back within an hour.

After this incident, i told myself, i should never take out my CF card from the camera anymore. So what if i need to copy out the images from the camera? All i need is to plugin my camera to the computer and transfer over the images. This could save me from taking cabs that costed me $20+. Hee…

Big Eyes Cindy

August 10, 2006

Finished processing 3 photos of Cindy a couple of days ago and sent to her the low-resolution ones on the night before she left for Bangkok. It was a rushed DI job, but i thought the photos look good anyway. I  merely touched up some major flaws, for example the dirt on the white backdrop and the chicken-pox mark on Cindy’s right cheek.

Got to know Cindy via online and learnt from herself that she’s 1.73m tall. I went "Wow!"!. Hahaa… Just to think that she’s already this tall at the tender age of 17. It’s not just her height that got me so interested in doing a shoot with her. Those long and slender hands and legs of hers. And she looks really good. All these factors just got me to shoot her over the last weekend, together with Darrel and Roy.

The rest of Cindy’s photos are still piling under tonnes of other uneditted photos. My guess is i would probably take another 2-3 weeks before i can process them. Well, i sure hope that those photos can help her get into the modelling agency she wants. Just like Crystal’s photos that helped Crystal got into Mannequin.

Singapore Fireworks Festival 2006

August 6, 2006

It has started last night, and the first team to present the beautiful fireworks is from Italy.

Okay, i decided to add in a few more pics. One pic is just too miserable. Hee…

The cityscape before the fireworks start.

The first pyrotechnics lighting up the night sky.

And ending with a shower of the fireworks debris.

Oranges and Lemons: My Past Work

It was like one and a half year ago when i did this piece of work. Sounds like a very long time, yeah? Nonetheless, until today, i still have people who sent me their compliments on this series of photos. It’s really a great pleasure receiving good comments for my works.

Then again, it has to depend who deliver the comments.  :P

On a serious note, i have to give credits to Cindy who helping with the makeup and Darrel who went through the thinking process and lighting setup with me. It’s always good to have good friends to work together and deliver results. And how can i forget the fabulous Crystal being the model!

Thanks all!

Peggy, the Short-Haired Girl

August 2, 2006

What can i say?! She is fabulous! Okay, time to share with you my secret fantasy since my childhood.

*whisper mode on*

I love girls with short hair!

Anyway, other than her good looks, sparkling eyes, smooth skin, flawless complexion, sweet smile, great dress sense, spontaneous character and marvellous poses, i really really can’t find anything bad about her. Hmmm…. You must be thinking that i’m talking big, right? Nevermind. A picture speaks a thousand words. So without ado, let me present PEEEEEGGGGGYYYYYY…
